Support with burnout and exhaustion
Many people who come to me with burnout have little hope that things can change. They are often people who have been highly committed and capable in their jobs. But increasingly they suffer from exhaustion and symptoms such as sleeplessness, stomach problems, back pain, difficulty concentrating and growing irritability.
They find it hard to explain their exhaustion and often believe that they cannot change anything, because working conditions are simply the way they are.
The good news is this:
There are ways to work on burnout together.
Unconscious patterns can add to the strain, for example when you find it very hard to say “no”,
or when you would rather do something yourself straight away than explain it to someone at length.
This, of course, leads to even more stress. More on this in the article Burnout – was ist das? (in German).
In the first phase of therapy, I use relaxation methods to help you unwind and enjoy the here and now.
Once you have regained some strength, we look together at what has contributed to your burnout, including patterns you may not be aware of.
In the final phase of therapy, we consolidate your new strategies and strengths.
